I know this old guy who gives me fishing related stuff  once in a while,
and gave me this old  TR-Sonic VII. I was like WTF?
Turns out my friend got this from his Uncle who bought it
in the 70’s?? for $25.
I think it’s never been used??? Has a little light that comes on and makes a squeaky noise.  might work? The 32 page book is halarious!
It has instructions, tips, knots, and alls sorts of trippy stuff! I’m guessing the 70’s but not sure.  Even comes with dried blood pellets as an attractive  for bigger catches!  sorry abuthose pics
Wondering if anyone in NCKAland has ever seen this? and got info
on it?
thanks
Scotty

We actually had one! My dad would use it in the delta to get cats and striper. It blew up when I played with it out of the water. Bulb got hot and popped... worked??? Don't  know, I was probably 10 then. Pop was upset though.
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

That is pretty awesome!  Wondering how it makes the squeaky noise but that sounds like a pretty inventive product for 50 years ago.  I'm going to be planning a night fishing trip with fishing lights this summer when the evenings are warm enough.  Should give that thing a try!  :smt003

Pretty cool!  Had to look it up... here's a Sears Catalog with it from 1972.  $9.95. (about $70 in todays $$$)

Dang, should have taken it into Sears for a bulb replacement.  The catalogue says "bulb is guaranteed for lifetime of fish call".  :smt003

I think if it worked it, or something like it, would still be available and used by fishermen today.

There's the noise maker. Popular with tournament bass guys. As far as lights there are a lot of them out there. I think greens are the popular colors nowadays.

I had no idea there was a device such as that!  Interesting!  And yeah, I have two green lights with I think 50' of cord.  One is an old school florescent and then I got a newer LED model, but haven't tried that one yet.

That is an awesome, old school gadget!  Definitely a cool find.

I was just about to mention that thing as well.  My hardcore bass fishing buddies have that thing.  Can't say if it actually works, but it never worked anytime I was on their boats!   :smt044

The Ted Williams fish finder on that page is cool too. $169 was a shit ton of money back then!

But it doesn't have the flashing light and ultra-sonic sub-woofer whatever that the Japanese version had. Maybe those features are only needed in Japan where they have disco bass. :smt003
