$54.00 is just the base model.

Just got mine earlier today and the luxury model will run ya upward of $90.  Think I got everything but a sturgeon tag.

It was $88.04 for me. I didn't get the sturgeon, but now thinking maybe I should give that a try...

What do you get for $88? I recently realized that apparently there is an ocean fee but what else?

There is an ocean fee for Southern California.  Not here.   I have the lifetime license, so only have to get the sturgeon and crab stamp.

License, 2 rod stamp, the new crab stamp/whale thing, ocean conservation stamp (To fish south of pt conception), steelhead card.

I’ll probably also need to get a lobster card, possibly a sturgeon stamp too if I get my boat in the water sooner rather than later.

I live in Nevada, but 99% of my fishing is in California, so... probably $162.82 this year? For out of state license and 2 rod stamp. Still, pretty cheap entertainment.

Can I still complain if I only buy good drugs and cheap hookers?

Of course this post is practically obligatory each year when the new fees come out.   :smt044  Still comparing a years worth of fishing to the cost of a week or two worth of gas is still amusing year after year  :smt005  I do know the costs add up when your buying for your whole family.  But don't sweat the small stuff, get out there and fish because that's what you want to do for FUN!

Forget fishing, I'm interested in the drugs, liquor, and hookers.   :smt005 :smt005
