the chain islands near the sand mound launch area.

I'm curious where this is?

When I looked on the map, I noticed I have the name of the launch wrong. The correct name appears to be Sherman Island Park, at the end of West Sherman island rd.

Launch area circled in yellow on pic #1

Launch circled in black pic #2, with the approximate locations of the islands circled in yellow. There are two and they are maybe 1/2 mile west of the launch area.
With gratitude and humility

There is a boat ramp there, which I've always launched at, but I think next time I am going to launch from the beach by the pay station at the front gate, on the river side of the islands.  Seems like a little shorter paddle/pedal out to the islands from there, depending on what the tide is doing.

I've fished there probably 5 or 6 times, but only caught there once or twice.  When it blows up, it is pretty fun - one day caught about 10 or so back to back to back in about a 30 minute period.  I'm still pretty new to striper tho, and definitely have a lot to learn.  More skunk trips than not so far, and I still haven't caught a keeper there yet, mostly around 12"ers.  I've tried all kinda stuff there, but only caught fish at Sherman on popsicle anchovy and rattle traps, and only between the islands, never in the flat lake part or outside in the river.

I might give it a go this weekend tho, maybe Saturday or Sunday.  Would love company, if anyone here wants to join me, just let me know so we can link up!
