Brah!  Happy day.  Thanks man!  Gotta break stuff when I’m inspired and fix stuff when I break it.

Ruben helped me conclude that I had the gameclip attached to the hali when it went off in the hatch and the metal slammed the ceiling of the fish hatch.  That fish must of convulsed 15 or more times in that hatch.  I’ll post how I work those cracks out.

My conclusion is to use a rope vs. a clip from now on.  I’m thankful for the halibut yet I guess thankful for the hurt he put on my paint.  Always a price, also dropped my gshock tidal watch into the drink that day.  I watched it slowly sink down down down… :smt006

Does one ever miss and bash their knees and shins instead?

Oh no you didn't want it the watch? That's a double bummer day.

It was sketchy watching someone giving a 37" halibut a beating with the head literally on/in front of his crotch. I was waiting for a strike the whole time. Hah.

I put 'em on the clip, hang 'em over the side with their chin on the gunwale and bonk 'em that way.  Seems smarter than swinging a mini-bat between my legs.  I've never been very good at sports, though.

I'll do that sometimes with rockfish when braining or bleeding to avoid spines poking holes in the drysuit. Also the blood stains. For salmon, it's fun to just hug em any which way I can and the blood just shoots everywhere  :smt005

Question for you chemistry guys...any objection to using gelcoat for fingernails as touch up gelcoat for fiberglass kayaks...so many colors in small quantities... :smt006

Found this...I'm just intrigued by the lack of need for color matching, hopefully none of you stealth guys will ever have to deal with this cosmetic nonsense...

"Gel polishes are more flexible, so they stand up to chips; gels are cured under a UV or LED lamp and polishes cure in oxygen. Gels have to be removed by soaking in acetone for at least ten minutes, while polishes can be easily wiped away with nail polish remover.”
