Eddie’s Hair and Stealth Chop Shop

Come one come all, bring the kiddies and watch and listen to a diy’r pull some salty language out his hat...

Keeleazy application, overlapping via Tsuri’s experience ramming his stealth straight onto rip rap at full kt’s and I hear that’s quite fast on these vessels...stay tuned...:smt005 :smt006

Round the corners as it is a better shape for friction than square corners.  First strip applied pressing from the apex to the edges, takes a little thought to make sure the cuts for the corner are the right direction or the tape will lift up if against forward motion.  Maddening, but is it?  Not quite drilling anxiety but we strive for excellence ...stay tuned..

In general I think keel easy is effective, to be determined, but seems bulky

Does Keel Easy apply with a heat gun? I used PereGuard and achieved good (so far) long-lasting results. The angles are tough for sure. It's all about function, though! Basically made to be disposable when you think about it.

It seemed to stick quite well on its own but maybe I’m missing something in terms of curing with heat.  I used a blow dryer which is an option in the directions.  I got impatient with rubbing out some bubbles on the edges.  I hope it sticks better over time as it was very pull off able as I was dissatisfied with my application.  Yes, function is key.   :smt006

I think it will cure on in a couple days, it says to keep it warm and dry for a while right?

So are you going to let the kiddos sit in the kayak when you give them a trim or do you just leave it in the shop to bring in the fathers?

This needs to be a YouTube video Eddie. Between your natural comedic value and the DIY lesson obscura, you’d be an overnight hit.
