Glad you got out to da max!

Was looking for ya Al but no finde. 

I took my two sons out in my aluminum. We caught about a gallon size amount of squid a little north of the red can by the Aquarium.Then headed out to P.G. where we caught some nice blues, olives and one nice ocean white fish.

Normally catch smallish rockfish there due to the high fishing pressure but the bigger fish were really hitting the fresh squid.

Better quality local fish are always a bonus

That was plan A, to head out to the red can and try for squid.  But since it was a shakedown cruise, and it's been a few years since I made that trek I went with plan B and headed to the hotel after jigged up some bait and stayed closer to shore and tried for halibut instead.  What I thought were going to be anchovies ended up being these tiny silver and red rockfish, which the smelt were chasing to the surface.  I observed people trying for ghosts, but didn't sound like anything was happening.

Congrats on the successful shakedown cruise. Must have been pretty neat to see them rockfishes chased by smelt. Go MB

Talked with dfg officer at launch ramp. Said he hadn't seen any seabass yet.

Hopefully see some this year.

How did water look? Brown and nasty or clear or ??

It was pretty nice water out near the hotel!  Fairly clear near MBK as well.  Pat gifted me a fillet from your butt you dropped off, looking forward to eating it
