Donner Lake

Came up yesterday.  Some smoke.   Tried some fishing today.  Winds up a lot!  Drug a Mepps spinner.  No love.  2 mile an hour drift back to the area we launched.  More visibility today.

Thanks for the report. I was there a month ago and going again this Wednesday. Is the smoke bad? Wind is always there, pushing west I think. I saw some YT videos about good spots, but they are always close to shore, and don’t require a boat.

Smoke is less.  Wind is less.  Temperature has fallen.   Where are you staying?  We are in the state park camping.

The smoke is supposed to come up for the next several days.   I was going to head up to Truckee this weekend, but I postponed.
