Was hearing from the reports the bite was slowing down but still no word from LM/Rockaway so I went for it.

Mostly stayed 60-70 FOW about 35 pulls down, only jellies. Later in the day I saw 4-5 boats chasing some birds so I joined em at 130 FOW, which is the deepest I have gone so far. Tons and tons of bait but none of the boats I spoke to had a fish. Only the birds showed up today.

Also, randomly, around 10 oclock it just started absolutely blowing for ~20 minutes out of nowhere. Almost went over a couple of times, then it just went away and didn't return. It was strange but I was scared. Not sure if it was in the forecast but I guess that's why you check hourly!

3 rockfish hit my anchovy over the day so at least some fish enjoyed my efforts   :smt044

Sounds like a good effort. Thanks for the report.

The fish are right on the bottom and there are some big ones out there.  Best bite is hour before and after the tide change
