Sharing a link to the go fund me page created for Al and Katherine Templeton of Cedar Lodge. I’ve been watching the fire and it’s impacts with a very heavy heart. I’ve got a very strong personal connection to this place, and Cedar Lodge was always our go to place/tradition for many many years.

Having a way to try and help a family who lost a home and business all in one tragedy is helping me. Perhaps there are others who have similar feelings…

Yesterday I spoke to a lady at an Almanor property mgmt company. She confirmed fire had reached the airport and spot fires were happening. Everyone supposed to evacuate to the causeway? My daughter has been bouncing from her place in Quincy and the ranch she oversees in Doyle near Chilcoot. Many of her friends have lost their homes. I could not figure how to access your link.

This fire is so devastating. We are losing many of my childhood haunts. I grew up in Susanville and my dad grew up in Chester where my grandfather taught high school. Still have friends in the area that are evacuated and staying with friends in Susanville. My sister in law grew up in Paradise, and this is now all too familiar.

Lots of good people are in need, we would all do well to help however we can. It’s just so damn sad.
