Any guess to when you might do Oct?  Have vacation planned, but would still love to help if possible.

Hello all,
I Am Zach, the Coordinator for the Central Ca Chapter of HOW. Thank you all for showing so much interest in this event. In the past Monterey and the surrounding areas have been Norcal Chapter territory, but having worked with Adam on other projects we decided to go ahead and expand out coverage area to include Monterey. And what better shop to partner with than MBK?
Typically our Chapter events are always the last Saturday of the month. So we would tentatively be looking at Oct 30th 2021.
We do things a little different than other HOW chapters do, so as Adam pointed out we ask that our Volunteer guides do not fish. As passionate kayak anglers ourselves we have plenty of time to feed our own addiction lol, we like to make sure all of our focus is on our participants.
The HOW mission DOES include Active duty and First Responders also. So we will be reaching out to them as well. As for working with the local VA Clinics in Monterey and Capitola, we can do that but we have found that usually by the time they find some Veterans to come out with us the event is already full.  Most times when we post the Eventbright sign up link the event is "sold out" in about 48 hours.
As the event get closer we will be reaching out to NCKA more to coordinate things like food, drinks and such.
If any of you have any questions, please feel free to message me on here or you may text or email me directly @ (805)746-9333  and email me at zclift792gmail.com. You may also email our chapter at centralca@heroesonthewater.org and follow us on FB at Heroes on the Water-Central Ca Chapter.

Thank you all for showing such an interest in helping out for this great cause.
