Was at a house looking at the roof yesterday and was given a old tackle box full of old fishing gear in it. Took it home and was surprised what was inside. Looks like it belongs in a museum, old lures line, and miscellaneous gear, but to my surprise there were two pristine old Mitchell 300 reals with extra spools. Not sure what to do with all of it but it is cool just going through all of the old stuff.

Awesome find. My twin brother and I grew up fishing places like the Delaware river with a couple of Mitchell 300s my parents had. Caught many fish on them, and they were 100% reliable and excellent...still are. My brother still has the reels in good working order.

Are the Puatzke Salmon Eggs still good?  :smt005

I'm always nostalgic about the way old tackle boxes smell :smt003

Outstanding score, way to go!  It looks like well organized, barely used gear.  Couple of neat looking folding knives in there too, who are those made by?

Whomever that was it was certainly well thought out, all the cool stuff it looks like.  I'd be tempted to use it, old school is cool  :smt004

Wow, great find. It looks like all new stuff. My tackle boxes only look that clean for a trip or two.
Then they end up giving off "Visible Stink"!

Check with the folks on AlanTani's website. There are guys who love those old spinning reels.
