I got to the camp mid afternoon to find Randall/Bigfoot setting up, chilled out for a few then hit the water, I forgot what warm water feels like, mmmmm. I got some live bait at the store, I they didnt make it, I tried everything but mouth to mouth. Oh well, so I trolled the last one and a rapalla. We stayed in the channel by the N ramp and maybe 2 hrs and wham, on the lure, pulled in a 27 or so striper right in front of the bankies("Is that a catfish??") We stayed out till after dark, then back to camp. I sat on randalls tailgate and he towed my yak up the hill. Got to love these roll ez.

We cooked it right on the fire with some links and damn that was some good fish! Stayed juicy as can be. Fed some to the folks next door.
Nobody showed till Sat AM. We had Sean, Adam, Dustin, 'da Mooch, Mickfish, Terry, Juan, Dan, Bigfoot...did I miss anyone?? I think only 1 striper next day but we all caught LMB and I think a few smallies as well.
Here's a blurry bigfoot, a still taken from a movie...

It was tough leaving a camp like that, it was very chill, I looked pretty dog-tired when I left, but its only a couple of hours and I had a big redbull on my way out, I could have gone twice that far.
I had to put this in the smoker today...
I wonder what they caught today????

It was nice to see and hear everyone who made it out to the lake this weekend. I wasn't in the water too long on Saturday, but at least I managed to land a 15" LMB draggin' hog!

Mooch got to the lake so early........not! Poor Rockhopper, he had to wait on the bank until Mooch showed up with his yak. Meow that must have sucked!

CHEERS!

Where'd the nice looking red fillets come from?

Looking at those photos is making me want to run away from home

On the morning of the 17th  I was attacked by the mendo monkey again. I sacrificed a dry ride for a faster one in hopes that Id be chasing down boils. But "it" never happened.
Slung a blue/silver crocadile around the northend, then headed to crappie cove. Tried lofting out a fluke for a while but then quickly gave up on the striper showing up and started hunting for the bucketmouth. I did get to witness Brian nab a prowler with what I think was a minner. Was great to see everyone again, just wish I could have stayed longer.
