Sat the fleet was about  250 ft which was  3-4 miles

But fish were closer than that as well.

Main gate is always open. The gate before the day use parking area opens at 7. The self pay is no longer at the gate, but a machine by the boat launch. We were there today and it was slow as hell even for the boaters. We followed the fleet about 5 miles to the fishing ground, but didn’t see any of them bagging fish.

I’ll be out there about as early as I can coming from Sacramento. I was planning to fish for rockfish. I’m gonna shoot to get on the water around 0800. See you guys out there!
