I don't know if I'd let that mantis shrimp flop around in the area of my crotch after my foot getting tagged like that.  :smt005

My marine biologist buddies always told me how mantis shrimp could do real damage... it's interesting to see it happen.  Amazing little critters.  My real question is... how does a mantis shrimp taste?

I've heard about them but never seen one, especially in action, ya just never know what kinda defense mechanism you're gonna run into with marine life.

We have them around the channel islands. The deck hands usually just cuts the line.It would not surprise me if they showed up here ,If we get some warm water,from the south.
