Did a spontaneous paddle from limantour beach to bolinas… 15.5 miles and 5 hours later I made it. No fish though strangely… found some big schools of anchovies just before dux heading towards bolinas

sounds like a nice paddle

were you trolling along the way? or just going for the paddle - I wonder if some Salmon were hitting the anchovy schools?

I was trolling about half the time with a sp minnow for whatever would hit it… also tried fishing swimbaits at different areas and trolling for halibut at bolinas fo nada.

How cool is that! What did you do logistically for a shuttle back?

Very cool. One-way trips like that are the best. Too bad the fish were not more cooperative.
I don't like stuff that sucks.

That's awesome except for the lack of fish. Good to hear there's bait in Botown.

Thanks for sharing

this is so awesome! the paddle itself is already worth it...fish would be a bonus as they say.

how was the launch out of there ..always wondered ...

Its similar to bolinas id say. Its sheltered by point reyes so its usually pretty easy... just have to time the sets. The second half of the trail to the beach is really soft sand so you need wheeleez or plan on dragging the kayak like 100ft

Very cool.  I've been day dreaming of some long one way trips....possibly Muir to Crissy this year.

I guess the most important question in all of this is how do you like the new ride? Was that the maiden voyage?
