Electric smoker, right?  Any tips/times/recipes to recommend?  I think I'd like to get one to play with this year.

 Cheapest electric smoker i could find. But it doesnt work well outside in the winter months. lol.

I make  it very simple and easy on myself Tez.

I dont do any brining. I smoke at 225 for about an 1hr and a half and check for light browning. Then i baste with a concoction of whatever i am feeling. My typical ingredients though are teriyaki, brown sugar, honey, orange juice, lemon juice, touch of lemon pepper, garlic powder and usually some type of hot sauce. Today it was Siracha. Taste and then add to liking. I try and keep the consistency half of what bbq sauce is.

I only baste two times once it starts to brown. I enjoy it this way because you get the nice flavor of the baste and then the salmon comes through at the end.  yum.

Cooking time is all up to how dry or moist you prefer.
