Trout anglers may want to put Lower Bucks Lake in Plumas County on their summer fishing list. This week, CDFW and PG&E stocked 5,000 catchable rainbow trout – about 12 inches and larger – into the 136-acre reservoir located within Plumas National Forest. The lake was drained in 2020 to repair its concrete dam. Filled once again with water, CDFW and PG&E have committed to an aggressive stocking program in 2021 and 2022 to rebuild the fishery. Future stocking plans call for the planting of brown trout, kokanee salmon and trophy-sized rainbow trout. All fishing regulations, daily bag and possession limits apply.

Thanks for the info. I was considering a trip up there in the near future with the family. Sounds like that lake might be worth a stop for the little ones to practice some fishing.
