I hope it's fishing related, those Eclipse boards were... something...

I'm guessing they're going to bring back the trifoiler. If so, I'll be able to get to the fishing grounds faster than any PB...

MooMoo asked for a 13’ passport that was 30” wide. Maybe they are bowing to His Mooness??

it`ll be heavy and expensive LOL

I have a feeling it's going to be light and agile... Their entire line is heavy and expensive... they haven't done anything to make their kayaks lighter or easier to paddle, like Eddyline or Native for example. Plus a leopard is an interesting cat to select for an ad, must be for a reason. they were stressing agility a lot as well. Im assuming its a kayak because their Hobie Fishing Pages have been posting it a lot too, and i don't think they market their cats to the same crowd

Its the Cougar.  Made for cougars, by cougars.  Gonna be used to pick up lonely and single bank fishermen.

Pretty underwhelming if you ask me. Doesn't look like much of a fishing boat, and certainly not very seaworthy.
This reminds me of those silly standup elliptical board things they make. A half-step above that.
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

Looks like a cross between a kayak and sup, but more sup orientated. Clearly not fishing oriented at all.

I agree. I mean I could see it being a bass boat after all those upgrades but its retailing for 2700! Not worth the money to make it fishable for fresh water when you could just get a compass/revo/pasport.

Its not all bad.  45 lb hull weight is great.  I hope they start making more lighter weight hobies.  Everything else in their lineup are porkers.

looks like a "hobiefied" version of the ascend (which might be a knockoff another manufacture, perhaps even Hobie).  Maybe a good platform for fly fishing for those with a low center of gravity and exceptional balance.  (I'm old tall and heavy so count me out)

"Hobiefied" - take an existing platform, triple the price with proprietary systems, market the crap out of it see if it sells.

Not to be confused with the innovative products that Hobie is known for; which are advancements that others try to copy.
