I launched out of the SC harbor at 7:00am this morning and covered 9.45 miles in 5+ hours for a grand total of 4 rockfish. Mostly, I was trolling the sandy areas, and didn't fish the rocks much, so, I think there probably was a reasonable RF bite. But, I couldn't get anything else to bite. There was quite a bit of bait around, so there must be some bigger fish too.

From the chatter on the radio, I heard that someone caught a coho, so you might be extra careful to ID any salmon.

The big excitement for the day was when I spotted this UFO (unidentified floating object)...

Are you pondering what I’m pondering?

Looks like one of those cheap Chinese Mines. if you see it again, tap it a few times with your thumpin' stick. If it goes BOOM, you'll know I was right.
I fish, therefore I Cuss and Lie!

Will definitely give it a try, and let you know (but only if you are wrong...).

Thanks for the report and hopefully you were sailing (almost 10 miles....)

I was trying to sail, but for only about an hour was there enough wind to make it worthwhile. Windy.com predicted 5+ kt winds after 9:00am, which would have been great for sail-trolling, but it didn't happen. NWS was more accurate this time.

I'm planning to go out again Thursday, and I'm sure lack of wind won't be a problem then...
