It’s been a weird 13 months for everyone.  I love this site but barely looked or posted.  Didn’t fish too much. But I feel a change is here.

I’ve been in Arizona for the winter and am heading back to my home in Davis by May 1. Excited to be vaccinated and getting back to Berryessa, Tomales, and the delta.

Arizona has been nice but the wind this has been particularly relentless this season. I’ve been blown off the Colorado river backwaters more than a few times - so that and all the Covid Stuff really has got me down a bit.

But just the other day I blew up my Sea Eagle inflatable (I love the post on here from today about a family with a new sea eagle) and showed up at sunrise at a backwater most folks don’t think about -  and had one the best days bass fishing I’ve had anywhere.

It does feel like change is coming. Hope all of you have a fantastic 2021 fishing season. In fact, looking at this site makes me think a lot of you are off to a great start.

I love ‘ditch pickle’ it’s my favorite.  If I ever get a custom paint job on a kayak I’m naming it: ditch pickle.
