I really want to paddle, but I have to be back early for a Bday party.   So I'll be "cheating" and take the boat.
Hitting SC early and quiting by 9, w or w/o fish.  Hope those reports of big fish are accurate.

Heard Monterey salmon is better than SC right now.  And SC is pretty good.

What's the scoop?  Brendan you got any DFG buddies down there??
Those guys are pretty tight lipped.  I guess they don't belong to Coastside.

Oh well, SC here I come.

Both Monterey and Santa Cruz are goin off right now... They're all a good size class, 15-20 lbs average, with a few goin 25-28.
Where are all the halibut?
Everythings about a month and a half behind this year.
Livin tha pirates life full time! Catchin big cbass in tha kelp all summer long Have fun, live well, conserve the resource, and ask me about my secret fishing spots. but I probably won't tell you, cuz their secret!

Brendan,
Today I tried for butts out of SC due to engine troubles.  Nothing, nada.  Just like the derby.
Haven't heard any reports of butts, but the guys I know don't fish them, which is unfortunate.

A friend of a friend went for Albacore, landing 5 and burning a lot of fuel.  Think this was Friday, but not sure.  He did say they were 8-10lb avg fish.  Thats pretty small!!!
