Hey Everyone - went out on 4/2 and 4/3 for rockfish and crab for the 1st time with my girlfriend on our new Compass Duo. In total we got 6x rockfish and 8x Dungeness crab. Rockfish were all caught on shrimp flies with strips of squid. Dungeness crab were all in around 45 feet of water.

Happy to hear recommendations on how we can get on more rockfish or Lingcod!

Swimbait with a teaser tied above on a dropper loop.  Whole squid or live bait tied with a stinger and octopus hook on a snell knot.  Nice haul neighbor!  :smt006
We're gonna need a bigger boat!

It was nice meeting you in the lot as we were loading up! Your girlfriend looked super stoked on your haul. I second the swimbait with a teaser on the dropper loop above. Trolling a lure like a Daiwa Salt Pro Minnow on a sliding sinker rig has also produced both cabbies and lingcod when trolling right next to a reef or rock pile.
