Wendell called me up looking to get more exposure to outdoor opportunities along the Humboldt Coast.  Today was our Humboldt Bay adventure, and the weather was nearly perfect.  Worked the tide for a few dozen meaty bivalves, enjoyed an exploration paddle on the glassy bay waters, and by just before 1PM we had a fat sack of clam meat in Wendell's cooler, ready for family chowder projects and clam fritters.

Good Times for sure - our next outing is set for July down at my main ocean port.  Stay tuned, get tuned in with your own trip, or, if you're not considering an adventure on Humboldt waters, get tuned up!  Let's do it!   :smt001

Looking forward to plenty of NCKA trips this summer at the Cove.  Got my first jab today!

Would love that, Marty.   :smt001

Thanks, V - no chowder for the guide!  All the spoils go to my guest unless that would put them over limit.  The limit in Humboldt Bay is 50 clams!!

Nice! That sounds like a super idea, I gotta think about that one, too.

Thanks for sharing the clamming trip report and pictures Eric.

LOVE IT!  -- as an aside, in musicians' vernacular a "clam" is a mistake made by a musician like a wrong note or incorrect rhythm.  It still makes me giggle when I get a bucket of clams.  :smt044
