Hi All,

My name is Phil and I just joined NCKA.  I'm excited to learn some tips and tricks from the whole community.  I just ordered a Wilderness Systems Recon 120 HD that should get here next week so I will finally have a fishing kayak.  Right now I have cross bars for my SUV and I'm hoping I can make it work to transport it on there and not have to go through the hassle of getting a trailer hitch/trailer purchase.  Hope to see some of you out on the water!

Welcome to NCKA Phil.  If you haven't visited the "safety first" forum yet, there are some great recommendations to make sure you are well equipped.   :smt006

Hey Phil, welcome to NCKA! There are lots of ways to load kayaks on top of vehicles. Watch YouTube to get some ideas. I sold a heavy kayak for a lighter one but with the experience I have now I would be able to manage the first one.
