I just purchased my first kayak (used OC trident ultra 4.3) there is a lowrance transducer and wires ran but no unit. Might sound dumb but can I just install a garmin striker 4 where the old transducer is, or are ocean kayak hulls made for specific brands? Thanks!

The kayaks aren't specific or proprietary regarding sonar units.  The transducers are though.  Is the existing transducer gooped in or mounted?

Good luck~
