I've been very pleased with my Dakota 28 AH battery. I've gotten 3 days of fishing out of it between re-charges.  If you're not intending to fish multi-day trips, one of their smaller AH choices would be solid, as well.

I have the Noqua Pro.  Nice protective case and easy connection.

One of our members Chet makes batteries specifically for kayaks. They have the capacity to last two days with most fish-finders. I have one and it works great with my Element.

Huge +1 for Chet's battery.  If you're the technical type, it's a bundle of 18650s with an onboard BMS with circuit protection.  If you're not technical, read that as a very tried and true assembly of widely used components.  All of that is packed into a high quality waterproof case with secure, watertight connectors.

I’m running the Nocqua battery.  I went down that  route can’t back out now.  My FF is the Hook Reveal 5.  On full brightness I’d get close to 11 hours. I’ve yet to go dead.   Two day trips, I had to buy a second battery.

Here’s the deal.  Lithium ion battery’s need care and feeding. You need a way to run them way down, occasionally. I have the adapter so I can charge my iPad or phone. I even have a string of LED lights.    I have gotten my battery to 6v.  Dead!

Just running my FF, I read it will shut down at 10.8v or so. I noticed just topping it off all the time, the voltage at full power seems to drop off when I measure with my multimeter.

The Nocqua company has wonderful customer service. My 1st battery was defective and the company went above and beyond to make it right.

I bought the Noqua battery a few years ago. The battery itself has been fine, but the small connector it came with got a drop of salt water on the pins during the drive home one day, and with current that was enough to completely corrode the connectors. Their customer service was nonexistent even though it was still within warranty. I replaced the connector and the battery is still working well.

I recently wanted something with more capacity so I bought one of Chet’s batteries. It has been great so far.

Little late to respond but, Ionic makes a really great 12ah battery and you can connect via Bluetooth with an app and check power level, output, charge rate...all kinds of data.  I run my helix 7 from 7am to 1pm on it no problem.

I have two Dakota lithium batteries and they work great, ive never had one die while using it for my fishfinder. Lightweight and compact and very huge benifets on a kayak. I am very interested to try one of chets batteries.. I just need something like a 100AH for my trolling motor.
