So, in an effort to avoid hooked nets and to be kinder to the fish I release this coming season, I swapped the nylon nets on my Ego S2 Slider Large (22") and big salmon net (39") with Promar  Hook Resistant Replacement nets:

Fits Ego S2 Slider:
Item: RN-502BR
Hoop size: 20" to 24"
Depth: 24"

Fits my 39" salmon net:
Item:  RN-500BR
Hoop size: 37" to 40"
Depth: 40"

Pretty straight forward replacement, but the EGO required a little muscle to bend the hoop to get the net on. It went back to form after the manhandling though. The EGO has instructions online, but I'll warn you now that you'll need a tiny phillips head, a flat head as a pry, and I think a 6mm socket (sorry, this write up was an after thought).

Anyway, the nets didn't add too much weight and the depths look acceptable.  For reference, my daughter is about 4'7" (55") tall.

Hope this saves ya some time.

Right on Mark! Judging by the shown “catch” size, you should be set for most species on the salt around here!

It's a great thing what your doing with the net swap. And appreciate the informative post. Helps those who are wanting to do the same.

Great catch there.

I also swapped out two of my salmon nets with this Promar. It wasn't an easy swap. It took some fiddling and some trick to get it done. The best part of the swap was I picked up these replacements for around ~$5.50 each on Amazon as Used nets. They weren't used, but were probably returned by people who tried but couldn't swap out their nets.
