Hola
McSpiffy has his first entry for his virtual Tastykake and katch tournament!
Eddie(fishemotion)came thru on the opener with a 23” Lingcod! Eddie caught this fish @Fort Ross and followed all the rules and I ‘m just posting this for him since I had the phone(camera) available.
fishemotion, being the standup guy that he is ended up gifting me that fish for some beers, as he had a haul of his own to clean!
I imagine Eddie will chime in for his side of the story...

fishemotion is on the board!!!

I gotta say the Boston Cream Honey Buns are my #1!

Lord help me. What a strange world.

Arrived at the unloading area and met Scotty who promptly offered a brief history of the Fort and some of these strange little pastries. Hit the water with the kitchen sink/leftover baits from halibut. A handful of medium-small canaries, vermillion, greenling, and a yummy cookie cutter pair of ling. Herring and squid.

It was nice to be back at the fort. Scotty was manning the fort on shore and was super kind to  offer his hospitalities. Even got an awesome ride up the hill in the back of the truck which brought back some of them nostalgic memories. An inspiring dude.. I now look forward to spending some time out on the coast as the good Lord allows.

I do admit them boston creams look tasty :smt007 darn it man

Oh. Butter garlic sautéed shrimp and fresh shore-picked mussels from the back of the truck... the bomb

I found them at Lucky in Santa Rosa, seems they have them at other locations too.  Those PB candy kakes are classic, I used to get an ice cream they made with those  :smt007

My fav is probably the butterscotch krimpets though
