I just got my keys from the county for river access at Steelhead beach off the Russian river.  I'm planning to try my hand at steelhead fishing for MLK if anyone wants to join me tomorrow.  Because of low flows most of Sonoma County rivers are closed except for the sections i plan to fish.

I'm going to try my hand at fly fishing using the duck and chuck method with egg/sculpin patterns but i'm also bringing my spin and bait casting reels as well to try good ol fashioned drift fishing.

Cheers -Nick

Steelhead Thursday
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

So weather was super nice but fish didn't bite.  Tried pink worm, bead, wicked lures and egg pattern and sculpin.   Next time ill try roe.
