Berley Pro Keel Guards

Good info on using PVC as a keel guard.  Has anybody used PVC for bottom of the bow area?  I am getting more wear there.

I have Keel EZ which is a pvc tape on my bow right now but it doesnt hold up to the gravel and cement i drag through at the boat launch or beaches. Thats why im ineterested in a kydex or pvc protector. ima pull my yak into my garage and melt some pvc on it I think after I clean this Keel EZ off. Its good for the keel but doesnt hold up on heavy abuse areas.

I have used the PVC and the clear hose for both the front and the back bow and it works well when dragged on asphalt.

my first attempt, I would definitely start with the thinner stuff this thick pipe was a total pain to deal with and I couldnt get the edges very close to the boat. 3m 15lb tape and way more lexel then planned but hopefully it holds for a little bit and ill make a better one next time

FYI, Mariner-sails has/had them in stock recently. I received mine last week. Haven’t installed yet cuz lazy,...but if you’re looking for something that fits like a glove,...hit em up.

I think they are a bit short in protection and serve more like bumper guards. Am I incorrect in reasoning as such? I've been out of the kayak scene for about 8 years and am getting back into it.

I just ordered a front and back set for my Revo 13.

Got mine mounted. After a 5 hour fishing trip things are looking good.

BTW I used blue painters tape to keep them in place while drying. Very easy install.
