December '04 - current.  There are a number of us who have been around for so long, and I think we've all come to know that it's not really the number of years that matters most.  This community provides opportunities for brotherhood, and it's the level of participation and enthusiasm that really count.  Many carry that further and maximize the giving, sharing and in-person fraternizing.  Over the years we've executed some of the most amazing group gatherings, competitions, chills, charity gigs, potlucksX1000 and other concerted efforts in positive spirit - it's an impressive history for sure.

I'm damn proud to be a part of it, and I look forward to progressing toward a new level of gathering that we can have when the time comes.  Soon I hope.

My best to all of the NCKA family.  If you have a doubt about how powerful this sport and the community that surround it are, I challenge you to stay tuned, stay engaged, and be ready to devote more of your heart than you maybe expected to something that's bigger than what you thought it would be and better than what you imagined.

Happy new year, folks.  I think the 17th full year of NCKA might just be something very special.   :smt001

I wrote this and thought "Eddie", among others,...  Way to fulfill, my man.  I look forward to fishing with you this year.   :smt001

It’s amazing to consider how much the yakfishing sport & community has grown in the last 17yrs. So I can’t even imagine what it’s going to look like in 2037! That’ll be like Gimme Shelter 28? Haha :-)

My best to all of the NCKA family.

I'm just a relative newbie, but I second this...

Happy New Year Eric!

You've been a big inspiration to the community.  As always, thank you for helping me find my way to NCKA from watching all your videos 10+ years ago.  Looking forward to all your reports this year!

Great post as always Eric.

I’ve been thinking about my time here on ncka recently, and feeling nostalgic for the times in the past when I contributed more and felt more connected to the community.

Hopefully 2021 brings more of that quality interaction...this is a special place and on a totally different level than “social media” stuff...

Wishing the best for all NCKA members in 2021, and hoping you all have calm seas, clear waters and big fish.

Jim

I guess I have been, was, pretty active around here based on my number of posts. Last couple of years I have not been on the site nearly as much. Maybe this year I will try to contribute more again. 2009 seems like forever ago when I found all of you old timers.
