Hoble Revo 13 internal float

Hi EVeryone.

I just got my Revo 13 and i noticed that there is a single black float inside the kayak. and it was only on the right side.  was there suppose to have been 2 floats?

Can anyone with a revo 13 confirm how many internal floats there are supposed to be?  Mine is the 2020 model.

As much solid foam core I t can take..... I think I have at least 4-5

i was told they are not so much "internal floats" but more of a type of "brace" inside the hull to help it stay in shape.

i added a few extra to stiffen mine up when i stand up.

Seems like there should be 2. I have 2 in my outback. I would call the dealer. In any case, I would add a bunch of pool noodles for flotation.

#newblife , I remember finding beautiful solid foam in my Kraken when I looked inside and I tossed it because I wanted more storage.  I had to order new foam from Jackson. I'm sure they put my profile in a "newbs do the darnedest things" file...

I was going to put in more pool noodles anyways but thanks for the feedback guys

i raided the new computer boxes in my office for free foam.  its the same stuff that came stock in my hobie. the same black/gray stiff stuff.

i had to stack a few, but it works great and was free.

I’m so tempted to pour in expanding foam into my kayaks... or using a big poly ethylene bag shoved inside, and pour the liquid  foam into that...

You are not the only one .....  except I am thinking about a regular heavy duty trash bag instead
