Hello folks,

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for New Melones?
Tuttletown or Glory Hole launch?
Which direction is best from each launch?
What tackle seems to work best?
Any other thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Tuttletown probably better. Mormon Creek is holding bait. Troll just about any spoons.

Both launches are easy paddles to the main areas of the lake. Try working around the Carson Creek inlet. Good catfish there too when the water starts to warm

Forgot to mention there is also a free launch to the east of the Hwy 49 bridge on the south side of the lake. You will need to wheel or carry your boat down (can't drive to the water), but the ramp is paved

Not bad when the lake is full.

The 49er ramp was set up so you could drive all the way to the water practically when I was there in early December. Free!

It will be a long-ish walk to the water for the next 3-4 months until the snow melts. There is a gate at the top of the ramp that I have never seen open. I've always had to park and wheel the boat down by hand, but it's free

Confirming that the 49er bridge launch is OK to drive all the way to the water. I was there yesterday and people were parked at waters edge.

We found bass in Mormon, Carson and Coyote. Lots of bait balls in the creek arms.
