i want to upgrade my Garmin S-4.

does the Dragonfly count down the remaining battery voltage like the Garmin.

the Raymarine brochures leave something to be desired.

my my math, the battery consumption at 5.3 w per RMS, i should have 20 hours of use with my current Nocqua 10Ahr battery, right?

It shows you the input voltage, doesn't really calculate capacity though, i dont think any of my 3 garmins do that either though...

The Raymarine Dragonfly Pro line are discontinued.  They do not show battery voltage. However the newer Raymarine Element models shows battery voltage.

ahhh..perfect.  just perfect.  timing is everything.  thanks for the update.  i always thought that 5" size was perfect.  looks like the Element is 7" in it's smallest format.

i love how the Raymarine has the single plug in the back.  just one.   i can still find the 5Pro, tho.   again, thanks.

I have had the DF Pro 5 for a number of years, I use the SLA battery in a box (see attached pic) from kayakfishingsupplies.com - I’ve had it out on the water for a little over 8 hours at a time and it was fine. I charge it overnight to use it the next day.

I’ve been happy with it, but with my old eyes, I’d probably go for a 7 if I were to replace it.

BTW, I ordered a spare plug and pigtail for my charger so I could just plug it in to the battery box connector
