Went out in my little Whaler w/ only an electric motor and chased them down! We spent a half hour watching them bust in the distance as we tooled over to them. Once there, the fish did not disappoint. Got one on a white buzzbait. F-U-N! Can you say that?
Also got them on the trusty Zooms, rigged weightless. Just reel the Zoom slowly, patiently, watching it, and it was gone in a swirl of water.
Great weather, overcast and cool. Very calm. Very quiet. All to ourselves. We fished between 9 and 11:30.
I was wishing for my yak.
We launched from the south ramp and went across to the little cove just south of Crappie cove. They were busting in amongst the branches of a submerged tree there!
Fish on!
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.
