It could happen tonight.  Anyone here going?

Where are the best place to launch besides City Kayak?

Sean Caples, owner of Malibu Kayaks, called and was asking for info.  He's driving up all the way from SoCal today to give it a shot.

Insane Duane and I are thing about going too.  The game starts at 7pm.

I'm sure it will be crazy out there in the cove, but your chance of hitting the jackpot is better than trying to win the lottery.  If a few of us go, we might be able to come up with a plan. :smt002

I heard you now need a permit to be there on the water.

Some of the Outback Adventures crew are planning to go.  I'm not sure if you need a permit this time.  I believe that was for the All Star Game.  I'm going to try and find out.

Also, looking forward to seeing Sean from Malibu Kayaks.  See you all there.

Duane and I decided not to go tonight.  We were not able to work out a good plan for transportation, launching, and safe parking.  We'll likely try tomorrow if Barry doesn't hit that homer tonight.

FYI -- I just heard the 756th ball is estimated to be worth at least $500,000.

I work in the city and I might be able to go there on Wed or Thursday night.  I think you can launch on the other side of the drawbridge on channel street by the houseboats.  What my buddies usually do is drop off their kayaks first and then find parking.  You have to be there early for the tailgate party. :party

I bet you could increase the value of the ball by refusing to give it up cause barry's an ass and causing a big stink over it in the media.   :smt001

there was not too big a crowd as of 6:45.  Only about 30 kayaks or so.  leads me to belive you don't need a permit.

I just googled The Ramp Restaruant. They have a launch and parking close to the stadium. Maybe you could ask them if you could leave your vehicles there. If you told them you were going to eat/drink there it would help  I'm sure.

In a previous thread someone gave up the goods on where to park and paddle from, that restauraunt, the ramp, is a great idea, but i'm not so sure, i'm gonna google earth and we should be able to find a spot for wednesday if he doesn't hit it tonight.

alright, i just looked and saw what I saw last time I drove around there, a spot to launch about a mile south of the park.  There is a little pier and there are cars parked on the street.  might have to get there early to get a spot but that can mean some fish time before the game :smt003

There's a ramp closer. Its at the San Francisco Yacht Club, if its still there. Its on the same road as the ramp and Kelly's, just a bit closer.
