Had a couple of days off, so I went fishing!

Old friend from NCKA, Aaron/Piski, was doing a camping tour along the coast here, so I showed him around at a longtime favorite spot on Wednesday, and then on Thursday we did some time at the Cove.

I had us all set to fry the freshest fish on the planet, except I forgot my oil and my pot!  Instead, we got back over the hill and hit the river for some salmon-viewing on the SUP's at sunset.

Next day it was a slow start, but the forecast would accommodate it with one of the best calls of the year.  Took my time getting to the Cove and enjoyed a leisurely afternoon in the sun.

Seasons are changing, clocks about to get turned back, and our country is about to experience a passionate expression in the midst of a tragic and still very dire disaster that has been unfolding around us for many months now.  My hope is that humanity and soulfulness win out over the cold and cruel self-absorption that we have been subject to for the last four years.

Nature, community, and a focus on living a life of purpose will always be the way for me.

Very Nice, Eric.  I'd love to join you in your secret spot one of these days.  Too crowded up here in the Bay Area.

Looks like a perfect day at the Cove. Only if it wasn't so far, would like to send a few more days up there before winter settles in.
