Sky, you crack me up. To actually say your not responseable for how people react to what you say. My, my, my, aren't we the little howard stern( note the lower case). How juvenile. :smt009 I'm 49 yrs old and have fished my whole life and have kayak fished for 7-8 yrs now and I know NOTHING about it compared to the people your talking too. To the rest of you, why do you even bother with rising to her bait? Randall

Does anybody know a campground in the Big Sur area where dogs are allowed ? Just yesterday I was supposed to go to the Big Sur area but I have three dogs and I was not able to find a spot where dogs are allowed.

I'll appreciate any information.

~ramon~ :smt006
I've heard Big Sur is pretty restrictive on where you can bring your dog.  For example, Andrew Molera allows them in the campground but not on all the trails (like the one to the beach).  You should check out Plaskett or Kirk Creek.  Usually the Federal Parks are less restrictive than the State Parks.  Sorry I couldn't provide more specific info but I'm usually fishing when I'm down there and haven't brought my dog (no one to watch him).

Ahhhh... got back late last night from a great weekend of backpacking and fishing in the High Sierra, with my dog, who managed to not be eaten alive.  It's a good thing Bailey can't read, because some of these posts about all the awful things that could happen in the woods could give Bailey nightmares...

...and speaking of nightmares... maybe I’m paranoid, but I see a commonality between the few NCKA threads I've read that turn into an episode of The View.  The light bulb went off (and I spewed coffee on my keyboard) when I realized I was reading a post on a fishing board that out of nowhere skewed to alleged amorous advances (that seems about as likely as my dog getting munched by a bear).

Oh, backcountry, I think you have the dots in just the right order. It's good to hear the NCKA light bulbs are finally starting to glow.

Sweet Jesus Sky... maybe I asked for it, but allow me to make myself clear... this is a kayakfishing board, not Myspace or some other teenage forum devoted to real or imagined sexual misadventures... moreover, I don't fancy being private messaged about how hot you think you are... it makes me feel unclean and my therapist is on vacation all of August, so in order to protect my sanity I'm putting you on my ignore list... if you've got something to annoy me with, post it here in public for all to enjoy...

You have just been sent a personal message by skygreen on NorCal Kayak Anglers.

The message they sent you was:

Some times things are not what they appear to be. Believe it or not, some men still find me physically attractive, and there was nothing alleged about my post about amourous advances.

But I have more class than to say who they were, especially since all of the men are married.

Instead of writing posts like the one above that make crafty veiled remarks, (which are pretty clever BTW :smt003, you must have had a lot of practice), why don’t you shed the light for me Big J, so I can finally “see the light” what has  gotten your nose so out of whack”.

The only thing I can think of that might have gotten you upset, is last September  in 06 when I  rescheduled a kayak outing with the BASK club, because 13 of the 14 people who said they were going to come, all canceled a week prior, except for you, which you ended up going alone.  http://www.jamas.smugmug.com/gallery/1962225#100848659

Immediately afterwards, is when you started writing these similar types of posts on the BASK kayak club email list, and then you began to do the same thing on NORCAL within a few weeks after you joined, once you realized who skygreen was.

This is about the 10th time I've asked you, to which you have yet responded,  have I unknowingly done something that has offended you? I never intentionally meant to offend or hurt you.

For the sake of keeping the peace, I'd like to call a truce. No more crafty veiled remarks ok? :smt008  I will make a conscious effort also to do the same.

"Keeping the peace" would be evidenced by not always attempting to have the last word and continually dredging up minutiea that matters to no one... Try moving on... it's cathartic...

http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=570    CALL RANGER: 831-667-2315

Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park
Big Sur Station #1
Big Sur, CA 93920

This campground allows dogs in the campground but not on the trails, or on the beach.

Several of these campgrounds also allow dogs, but  the man at FERNWOOD CAMPGROUND (831) 667-2422  said the same thing as the ranger, that dogs are not allow on the state park trails.

it took 3 pages to finally get useful info.  the original poster (a newcomer to the boards) probably thinks NCKA is full of A-holes...
