Hi Guys, and Gals,
I’ve been kayaking and rowing for some years and last year decided to learn how to catch Dungeness Crab. So far it’s me=0, Crabs=9. Only 3 times off a kayak, the rest, beaches, piers, jetty. This year I plan to kayak Half Moon Bay, and Bodega. I’d like to learn if there will be any friendly competition gatherings this 2020/21 Season. It’ll be nice to meet some like-minded folks, as I have been fishing alone. When I went to Tunitas by myself last year all my friends got mad because I’m a woman and they don’t like me hiking remote beach trails and going to beaches in the dark.

Being an honorable sportsman is way more important than what you catch.

Welcome  :smt006 I doubt there’d be any tournament for the rest of this year due to pandemic. But there will always be small hookups here and there specially when the crabbing season starts.

Hey KSea, welcome to NCKA!

At this point all of the large events are canceled. If a vaccine becomes available, or an instant test, then things should start happening again. At this point your best bet is to get ten  posts on the board so you can read/post in the member's only hookup section. For the most part members do not stay in a tight group but keep in contact over the radio and are there to help, or report on a hot bite.
