Messaged Hobie support since I was wondering when they'd be available. They said that the new yaks are normally available on Sept 1st but this year was a lot different due to Covid.
So if you're holding out, it's going to be a while til you can get a new kayak. I was going to buy a used 2015+ one but I don't want to pay 2500 for a 2016 revo when a new one is about 300 more (plus tax).

On a side note, I suspect that a good chunk of people buying right now may have second thoughts after using it a few times so it won't be entirely unexpected if a number of kayaks are unloaded in a few months on classifieds.

When are they going to announce the new features and models?

Hmmm, do you know something about the 2021 models' new features?  Or is this just speculation about newbies buying Hobies without knowing exactly what they want?

Have they released prices yet?
You can’t have everything, where would you put it?

Just a hunch and speculation. I don't know what's coming out. I'm just interested in the Revo 13 and that's what I inquired about. I could be wrong but I just think that a percentage of buyers who used their expensive kayaks only a few times might have second thoughts (perhaps after Covid is under control) and there's a chance that we might see a large amount of used kayaks  listed on Facebook Marketplace and the like.

The hobie forum says new model info won't be released until "the fall". Fall starts sept 22 so looks like we will have to wait at least a couple more weeks. The prices of used hobies are really high so like the OP I'm just waiting to buy new.

I know inventory has been severely impacted with the COVID-19 purchase craze, but at what point does Hobie stop manufacturing the 2020s?  Is it possible to order a 2020 model and still get it or is the only option to buy new right now to wait for the 2021s?  I just sent out a feeler to Cal Kayak for a 2020 Passport 12, but haven't heard back yet, so this thread got me curious.

Kayak sales have increased dramatically since March (compared to previous years). Right now, even the used kayak market is very thin. I suspect there will be lots of used yaks on the market in Dec/January.

I've also reached out to Cal kayak as well but so far nothing. But if I were you, I'd reach out to Hobie to find out the cutoff for the 2020's via Facebook. They take a day or two to respond but you might get your answer to make a more informed decision on which year model to buy.

Good idea!  I've reached out to them on Facebook.  I'll give Cal Kayak a call today and see if that works better than email.

Keith from Cal Kayak got back to me and they don't have much inventory until November.  However, they referred me to Wind Toys in Santa Rosa and I just put a deposit down on a Passport 12!  They have 2 more unsold if that's what you were looking for.

For the rest, they said 2021 inventory will be in stock in November even with the delay mentioned in the OP.

That's cool. I'll check with them to see if I can put a deposit for the revo.

Looks like the prices have been updated. I think the Compass has updates in features. Prices increased on all models. Revo 13 is now $2899 before taxes (before it was 2779).
Hopefully they are still updating the site with the updated models.
