Hey guys,

I've done the fishing thing in British Columbia last year and that was a great time with lots of salmon and halibut. I'm going to Alasaka for 15 days in 2020 which will include fishing in the rivers and ocean, and a lot of hiking.

But we're trying to plan something for 2019 Julyish. June-August really. Right now our inclination is to go back to Winter Harbor BC since we felt like we could have spent more time in that area (we were mostly on the Port Hardy side). But I'd like some other ideas and who better to ask than a bunch of fishermen I know.

I'm indififerent to whether it's kayak fishing or boat fishing. The only criteria is no long range trips (rules out most of SoCal / Mexico tuna trips), around $5k per person (a little more is OK, less is better), and no more than 12 hours of travel time (Ruled out a lot of things unfortunately, such as New Zealand and Thailand)

Very interested to hear what you all come up with outside the standard Mexico Tuna / Alaska/Canada Salmon trips. It looks like the Alaska limits are kind of crappy for 2019 (only one king annual limit..?) so I'm inclined towards fishing Winter Harbor if we can't come up with anything cooler.

We're quite content doing CNR fisheries so it doesn't have to be a meat farming trip.

The island of Kauai has always been one of my favorite spots to chill and fish. It’s a non-stop flight from OAK.

I usually rent a house w kitchen on the north shore, fish, beach, snorkel, cook, eat and drink Mai Tais. Not bad.

I am confused about your trip plans timing.   It's now September 2020.

It’s one of the Thai bot accounts that post weird stuff every now and again. I don’t really understand why, only that it happens.

I paid a guy $25 dollars and a Clifbar to take me fishing in a Peruvian jungle.  Saw a Jaguar!

My brother and I wanted piranha but he thought we were aiming too small.   He set us after Pacu!   He had the oldest junkiest rods and reels ever. Everything was loose.  But.....
