Hey Joel,

I'll haul your kayak up for $20.  However, that's for an empty kayak...  No seat...  No Paddle.. No battery... No nothing.  If you want me to haul your fully rigged kayak it'll cost much more than $20.

've got an extra cart with balloon/sand wheels you can borrow if you'd like.  Let me know and I'll take them up with me.

Somebody will surely need to borrow this!

If you still need a cart, the Roleez factory/retail place is in Benecia, I think it's Lakeview or Lake-something Exit just after you cross the Ben/Mart bridge - in those warehouses between the highway and the mothball fleet. After you turn to the frontage road head back toward the bridge.

I have the small roleez wheels on my new Hobie cart...

Do these suck?  or should I just stay with the older upgrade wheels I have,

being most of the ride is on dirt road......

I remember many casualties last year.....

and ya I am concerned now with scupper "Stress" :smt012 ........Danglin

Sorry of the thread jack but to answer Danglin's question..

The mini-rolleez wheels work pretty well on semi-solid sand and  of course pavement and dirt.  However, depending on how much you pack on your kayak the tend to dig a bit more in soft sand when compared to the regular sized rolleez.  I'm guessing I'll make the hill just fine, but will struggle a bit on the long stretch of beach at the bottom of the hill.

Oh, another issue I have with them is that they sit so low that I often dig the back of my kayak into the ground.    I'm going to try and figure out a way to increase the length of my front handle to keep the front down and the back up.

What else? this probably doesn't affect the hobie cart, but the straps that came with the mini-cart are too short for a SOT kayak.  I think Mooch had mentioned this previously.

On the plus side is that I can stow the whole cart in my kayak hatch and not have to worry about it on the beach.

It's not really the trail down the hill that was eating carts last year...it was the soft sand and the short hump over the driftwood littered trail on the actual beach.

I also think it would be helpfull to have our VHF radios on - channel 69 - just in case others have problems finding the Community Center (especially at night). Cell phone coverage is minimal.

I have a charger so I'll have mine on - on Friday night. Just holler in case your lost. I brought some glow sticks the year before to mark the entrance to the community center.

I'll bring my extra matching VHF WM250 if some one needs to borrow one for the day.
