OK, I'm in the throes of doing 2 weeks' worth of planning in 3 days.

I've got the rolleeze cart thing down, though I'm making do with the smaller tires for this trip. I'm sure wishing I'd done the moon tire conversion now...

I read Brian's "elk tips" and am down with them. Thanks Brian!

As far as tackle goes, I'm figuring on big swimbaits (3-6oz) and 4-8 ounce irons and diamond jigs, with some stuff for bait setups (6-8oz weights) as well. Are these appropriate lure weights for the area?
I figure on bringing a couple of rods: 30lb setup on a fenwick tiger stick with a daiwa 50h, and my main cencal rod, a lighter weight Sabre with Abu reel, 30lb spectra. These ought to do, right?

I'm picking up a nice big ice chest today. Is there anything special that I might need beyond standard camping stuff? Anything that i might have overlooked?
My mind is reeling here (no pun intended) after coming in to work and seeing that I am lucky enough to be included at the last minute. I sense lots of artistic inspiration (& fish fillets) to come from this adventure.
Thanks,
Sean

I'll see if I can fit it in my truck :smt003
Wait, is this a subtle strategy? Get the competition to overeat on Friday so they are sluggish on Saturday? I'm onto you now... :smt044

I've got an extra cart with balloon/sand wheels you can borrow if you'd like.  Let me know and I'll take them up with me.

I already swooped & got dibs on borrowing the sand cart guys :smt003.

Too funny, I must have typed that just as Pacifico posted. I'll bring my standard cart too, just as insurance.

Take it from a two time Elk cart mooch.. if you don't mind walking the hill an extra time, you can usually borrow a cart from someone who has already moved their kayak.

I won a Rolleze mini cart at HMB, and I'm hoping I can make that work.  I haven't been too impressed, but I think they'll be okay. If not, I'll be running the hill an extra time to burrow a cart again this year.

I was thinking the same thing...but didn't want to suggest it after remembering what that hill looks like.    :smt001
