Everyone stay safe and if you can evacuate before you are told to, then it is best to do so to avoid the gridlock.  I know that is against the natural instinct to ride it out and be ready to go when told.

I totally agree!

There are pictures floating around on Facebook, Markley Cove at berryessa is gone, the store burnt completely and most of the rest of the marina.

My wife's coworker, and my wife's cousin both lost their houses near vacaville yesterday morning. :( My parents were evac'd from Vacaville and staying with me for now, but it looks like their house is fine and should be able to go back soon.

So sad, hopefully we can get a handle on these fires soon.

Santa Cruz Rivermouth last night.  Everyone please stay safe!   Fire is no where near my house, but I'm on the edge of town, and right next to a riparian corridor that goes all the way to the sumit.  If I gota go I grab the cash, the guns, the dog and the guitars. Rods reels tackle tools motorcycles can all be rplaced.

Just a few hundred yards over the summit here in Santa Clara County, today it's eerily nice---the heatwave is gone and no smoke in the air at all. About half way between Scotts Valley and the summit, the smoke abruptly ends...

Lake berryessa got it bad. I hope Cody alpinex is doing ok...saw some pics of the highlands burned down.
The 2 fires down here (river fire burning from hwy 68 down the coast range towards arroyo seco along 101 and the Carmel fire burning west towards carmel valley village) are trying to merge. Combined with smoke from the santa cruz & big sur fires...its been raining ash. I call it California Confetti.

Hi all
Omfng
Got out at 2am Wednesday
Got two vehicles with clothes pets and guns and a few other things. We were actually somewhat prepped and for that I am grateful.
Reports from our neighborhood are bleak. Many structures gone.
We’ve got a secure place lined up for now in seabright area.
Thanks for all of you who have reached out. I may call in favors and offers of help in the coming weeks as we learn more.
Aaa already has contacted me for a potential claim and im like wtf maybe? For now I cannot even access the place.
Peace and safety to all in the path of this monster.
I’ll update as I learn more

Stay safe everyone.

Sorry to hear that. A good friend of my wife lives in Bonny Doon, and it's much the same story from her.

They just evacuated Scotts Valley west of highway 17. We're about 6 miles from there...
