Trip 1: Limit of rockfish at the fort. Easy peasy, fine day.

Trip 2: Bolinas, one hali.

Trip 3: Muir skunked 8 hours on the water, not a single nibble. Launch/landing was cool :) > A plethora of beachgoers, a couple gave me kudos at being their entertainment for the day... I wondered if they saw me taking a leak out the drysuit.

Trip 4: My humbling and harrowing tale. Not having exercised much in the past few months and feeling out of shape, I decided to give a go for some water time therapy and fish. Said my prayers.  No swell and light to moderate winds. Made it out near the dux reef and where the boaters were fishing. Drift was pretty fast but got some rockfish and a couple good unseen fish-on that came unbuttoned.

Wind was picking up and I had just recently gotten the good hits, so I thought one more drift... drifted a little past the south end of stinson. Oh boy, the paddle back was kinda rough.  After about 30 minutes? I was noticing little to no forward movement progress. Anxiety was creeping and whitecaps had formed, I could feel the bonks coming on, and sciatica was flaring. I thought about a quote I had learned in back rehab therapy -once you think you're done, you can go further. Well, shortly thereafter I said no way and went in to land at the southerly end of the beach.  Unbent the back, had a stoge, and ate and orange on provided lawn chairs. Call an uber? The shame.

Looked at my watch, and sundown would be in like an 1-1/2 hour. Crap better get moving. Relaunched and the wind had died down.  Still a steady into the wind and my body was feeling it hard.  Thought about triathaloners, 13 hours benghazi, mariners of old, and the good Lord Almighty. Land ho! Arrived back at the launch shortly before sundown. Thank you Jesus!
