My name is Eric, and I'm a Pisces who likes long walks on the beach...wait, wrong forum!

I grew up on the east coast of Florida, fishing for snook, red drum, sea trout, or whatever else would bite. I did the obligatory LMB fishing also. But life's choices brought me out to the East Bay about 23 years ago, and I really lost my way. I'd be hard-pressed to even call myself a fisherman anymore, but I'm longing to get back into it.

Getting back to the Treasure Coast is not in the cards right now, so I'm really interested in taking up kayak fishing. I'm out in Brentwood, so the Delta will be the most accessible, but I'm looking to get a rig that will allow me to get a little salty also.

I've been lurking on NCKA for months, and thought it was time for an intro.

Not sure if the intro post is the right place for this or not, but if it is, I wouldn't mind hearing anyone's input on the Crescent LiteTackle vs. the Feel Free Moken 12.5 V2 as Delta/inshore kayak. I think I'd really love a pedal, but not sure I want to wait to save up that kind of money.

Also, I'm all over Headwaters YouTube channel and the safety forum here.

Thanks!

Welcome to the madness and being out in Brentwood and close to the delta, yo can also check out Greg Blanchard's youtube channel.

He is a bass catching fool who fishes in the delta a lot and also a kayak bass tournament fisherman. A wealth of knowledge in the delta.

Thanks for the welcome, and I'll be sure to follow Greg Blanchard's channel also. I already recognized the name from some videos I must've come across. Thanks!
