Do you guys think $900 for the kayak, mirage drive and accessories is a good deal? I have heard about some issues with the older models, and wondering your thoughts on the 2007. Did Hobie fix most of the problems by then?

There were some issues with drivewell cracks, which would be pretty serious. There is some discussion in various threads on the Hobie forum--here is one:

Having said that, $900 seems good. But, you'd certainly want to give it a very careful inspection...
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?

That’s an average price for the pre-2010 outbacks. Like stated, hull cracks near the drive and scupper holes were a big issue.  I found an 09 for my wife but soon sold it not because of those issues, but the drive was the screw type and not the click-in version.  After pedaling around for 15-20 mins, my wife complained that the drive would wobble and the screws weren’t seating the drive correctly.  It was annoying.  The rudder lever was also behind me, rather than in front.

Lots of small nuances that I didn’t like.  Glad the outbacks got so much better over time.  Love my 2020 OB.

Pretty good deal. Just check the drive area.
