Apparently, there’s a metal piece on the kickback fins on the Mirage drive (2020 models) that can fail and cause the fin to fall. What?!!!
Hobie issued a recall. Pretty generous with 100% cost covered.

Thanks for the information.  My 180 drive was updated before I purchased my Hobie in January.
