Went out to Hat Creek after work on the 4th for an evening bite. Parked down a dirt road across the stream and fished until dark for a few planter trout. Came back to the car, and noticed it sounded a lot louder than normal when i started her up. Mechanic just got back to me, someone tried to tamper with my catalytic while I was parked. Muffler bent sideways but they couldn't get it on a newer car I guess. Told me to be more careful where I parked when I go fishing.

Crazy part was I could see my vehicle the whole time while fishing, just never thought twice about its safety. I will be now.

Many fishermen spend their lives chasing fish, only to realize that it was themselves that they were chasing.

The "Salty" in my handle refers to my attitude, not the waters I fish

Nothing is safe anymore.  Thieves will seize any opportunity to take what doesn't belong to them.

They need two to the head, your choice what the two could be, fist, fish bat, Lois Ville slugger, lug wrench, logging chain.... the list could go on. I hate thieves almost as much as politicians. But if buyers quite buying catalytic converters they would quite steeling them or at least track who sold every one of them.
