Few rods I purchased because I wanted to see how they felt. TheyÂ’re all brand new, never used except the Trevala but itÂ’s still like new.  Let me know if youÂ’d like more pictures.

United Composites deckhand - $sold
Phenix Abyss - $sold
Shimano Teramar - both are $sold
Shimano Trevala - $130

Sweet deals!

Just curious, after testing out all these rods, which rods did you decide to keep for kayak fishing?

My go to/ all around is still a cousins clb 70xl

Can you give more info on the "United Composites deckhand" rod?  Not much info on the web.

I only held these rods, they never saw action.  Out of all the rods I’ve tested I landed on a Phenix M1 inshore fast 7’11” 10-25lb, for Santa Cruz It’s done the trick for everything including a 30lb 45” halibut.

I can't tell if it's a bait casting or spinning.

It’s got a deckhand style cork grip with no reel seat. You typically mount a conventional reel on it with a reel mount.  They make the mounts to fit most modern reels now. Pic below of a mount.

Here’s a vid on the rods and company.  That’s a good deal, about the same price I pay for a blank.  If I wasn’t working on a bathtub right now I’d swoop on it.
